Holland at 6 Months

14 lbs 4 oz (16%)
26.5 in long (76%)
17 in for head circumference (78%)

Holland figured out how to roll, and it was her favorite activity for a while.

She kept rolling over for the photo shoot.

Little stinker gave up her binky (which seems like a distant memory now). Our easy baby isn't so easy anymore. She really doesn't like taking naps anymore. She will nap in the swing, be nursed to sleep, and sometimes fall asleep in the car seat. In our arms or in the cradle is a no go though (most of the time).

Holland loves attention! Her favorite thing is people playing with her. She loves being tickled, peek-a-boo, and patty cake. She loves nursing.(Glad she hasn't given that up with the binky!)

Holland drools and drools and drools. And just to add more wetness to the top of her shirts, she is also very proficient at blowing bubbles. No teeth yet, but I wonder if some of her tendency towards crankiness is due to them coming soon.

Holland's hair is getting long. We think she has longer hair than Miriam did when she was almost two. She loves clasping her hands together and playing with her feet. She has also started getting really interested in toys. As I am writing this she is playing with one of the jingle bells her older sisters got at the ward Christmas party.

Still no sign of sitting up. She still hates the bumbo! She doesn't even really like sitting up on laps. Her feet are still so expressive. I swear they wiggle almost as much as her hands.

Putting her up on a table like this is dangerous.

She has started preferring mommy. Or maybe just mommy's milk.

She kind of regressed from never waking up at night to waking up once. This is actually kind of nice for me because I don't have to pump in the morning if she nurses during the night and *knock on wood* she tends to go right back to sleep after she is done nursing.

We sure love our Holly baby!

Sleeping Angels

Why do I love taking pictures of my girls sleeping? They are so precious!
Sleeping in the swing because she will not take the pacifier and sleep in her cradle. Little does she know that the sleep training (cry-it-out) is coming her way. Hate it, but it definitely works.

Head cranked back and fingers poking out.

Miri girl still takes a nap for me pretty regularly. She sleeps like the dead. Seriously. I often have to pick her up, carry her downstairs, and make her eat or drink something before she actually wakes up. I think she inherited this from me, poor girl. I could never wake up to alarm clocks very well. John pops right up at the first sound of the alarm. I don't even wake up to him getting ready in our room in the morning. Hence he is the one that brings me the baby in the middle of the night.
Holly and I are waking up Miriam this day. Holly is being all smiles.

There isn't much that Miriam loves better than Holland (seriously maybe nothing), so I knew Holland more than anything else would wake up Miriam.

Finally waking up. I love this progression. Realizing Holly is in her bed.

Turning over to see her. Happily waking up.

And immediately going in for a hug. Love them.

Halloween 2015

This one is probably my favorite. What a sweetheart!
Miriam says, "That was dirty and we had to wash ours hands after." They were not the biggest fans of the slimy innards of the pumpkins, but they got used to it by the end.

Holland got put in a pumpkin. I put it in the sun for a few minutes before putting her in it, which warmed it up nicely. She was surprisingly cooperative for this.

Love her.

Eventually Holland discovered sucking on the pumpkin, which concluded this photo session.

Aw baby, stop licking it!

We are getting more comfortable with the power tools, so John tried caving the pumpkin with the drill.

Sweet little Rapunzel and Ariel!

This was our Halloween wall. Since we were painting soon, I didn't mind putting tape on the walls to hang up all of the pictures. Now, after painting, there is no way it is happening. I can't even bring myself to put holes in the walls to hang pictures.

The girls dressed up so cute was the night of the ward Trunk or Treat party. It was was a fun time where the kids received way too much candy to know what to do with. Miriam says, "It was so yummy, and it was a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of candy."

On the actual Halloween night we were all sick. :( We almost didn't take the kids trick or treating, but we managed to rally our energy and do it. We met some neighbors, which was overdue. I wish I was better at remembering names.
Halloween Night!

We made mummy pizzas that night and Jello worms with way too much whipped cream crushed oreos.

Ellie wouldn't eat the Oreo dirt, but she did like getting the jello worms out of the straws. For the record, this part was way too difficult to do again. It was surprisingly hard to squish the jello out of the straws. I would not recommend this party dessert.
