Father's Day 2016

My kiddos are blessed with the best daddy in the whole world. We surprised him again this year with new pictures and interviews this year. We also took another tutu picture of Holland with a shirt on this time (John thought she needed to be more modest).

Our kiddos adore their daddy. I swear the time of day when Holly is the most excited is when John gets home from work. She squeals and makes a bee-line for him.

For presents this year he got exciting things like a new belt, flip flops, a pillow, and a chocolate treat. Living wild. :) Ellie made John a cute card with popsicle sticks that said. "I love it when we stick together." Darling girl.

Even though Miriam told John last night that she loves Mommy most, then the fan, then Holland, then Ellie, then herself, and then Daddy. I know all of the kiddos adore you. In fact the other day she asked John, "Daddy do you know why I like to be near you? It is because I am attached to you." We are all attached to you sweetheart! xoxo!

Holland 1 Year Photo Shoot

Miriam says that Holland looks like zombie with her arm out. Daddy says she looks like a sweet angel. I agree with Daddy.

Approaching her one year birthday I pondered what I wanted to do special for her one year birthday photo shoot. I came across a tutorial for making a ribbon lined tutu.

It wasn't challenging to make although it was very time intensive. Of course we had to make a matching pearl necklace and the perfect headband.

Like I said, this was time intensive, which was only sad because when the moment of truth arrived and we tried it on her it was not well-received.
We tried it on her a couple of more times in preparation for the photo shoot, but it didn't really get better.

Fortunately being outside was a good enough distraction to get some cute shots of our sweet baby in it.

There is even a slight smile in a couple of the photos.

Fortunately we took these early enough in the year that it wasn't blisteringly hot to take these outside, but warm enough that she wasn't cold.

We love our sweet girl even if her sisters think she looks like a zombie. Happy birthday sweetness!
