Christmas 2010

We got a hand me down dress at the last minute that became Ellie's Christmas dress. Our 'photo shoot' included getting her a can to sit on to keep her still and attempting to coax a smile, which didn't really happen. Still sweet though.

Ellie LOVED the Christmas tree. She was actually pretty good about it too. We never really had to move any ornaments. Although, there were a lot of reminders to not touch it. The way she says "Christmas Tree" is identical to how she says "scripture story." She says, "Dow dowee."

Here are a few shots of her unwrapping the goods:

The stocking was pretty fun. Ellie likes cars.

The yellow squishy ball lasted less than 12 hours before she bit a hole in it.

We had a great Christmas seeing friends and family. Best wishes for the new year!

That was the dress that I thought would look really good on her, I'm glad it worked out. What fun Christmas pictures!

I love Christmas morning! Ellie looks like she cleaned up! Thanks so much for the games and our other gifts this year. James is actually killer at monopoly, and she doesn't even insist on being the banker. I haven't got much use out of my booklight yet, though, as James has insisted on taking it to bed with her every night. Love you guys!

Isn't Christmas so much more fun with kids!?! She looks pretty into opening those presents.

You're like me and didn't get pictures of any of the Deru/Lucas festivities. One of these years I need to get some pictures of Grandma's dinner. Ellie looks darling in her Christmas dress!
