Oh my little sweetheart, you just have our hearts. We all adore you more than I can say.
Look how big you're getting! That bunny is definitely looking smaller than it used to next to you. I love your little chubby cheeks in this picture.
I love your little tongue sticking out. This month you definitely figured out blowing bubbles. Also you have way less spit up than you used to, but all the bubble blowing and drooling sure keep you juicy.
I can't pick just one of these smiles to post.
You are becoming more playful and aware of your surroundings by the day. You want to explore your soft picture bunny by all of the means available to you: touching, licking, and watching.
We love how much you still love to grab your feet and suck on your bottom lip. So adorable.
Are you kidding me?! How am I ever going to tell you no about anything?
You have definitely started exploring your voice. Even almost a da-da.
We think it is just the best thing that you like to keep your legs straight out and stiff.
You are also a lot more aware of your hands. We have noticed you just watching them. Seeing what they are going to discover.
There's our little smiley girl. You're such a happy baby and an easy smile. It is so much harder to get you to laugh. We still feel lucky when we get you to giggle. It draws everyone's attention like a magnet.
Inspecting those feet.
Of course we all still love holding you.
Holland told me, "That's what babies are for--to be loved!"
This was a particularly awesome month because you started cuddling your head down on us, and our hearts about exploded.
It is a full oxytocin hit.
You have no idea the power you wield with a little head cuddle.
You are starting to roll all over the place, so we have to keep that pillow to the left of you to kind of keep you in place.
It is getting a little trickier to feed you when other people are around or when there is something interesting happening like a screen turned on. You want to look at what's happening too!
So mostly it is just you and me with your hand in my mouth and me dinking around on my phone. I think it is interesting that you're much more okay with other people talking in the room that I'm nursing you in, but you can't handle if I talk. Or you're okay if I listen to an audiobook, but I can't use voice to text to write in this blog for instance.
Still melting hearts with your head cuddle. Your eyelashes are amazing, this picture kind of shows that. When I catch the angle just right, I can't quite believe how long they are. Pictures just don't do them justice.
This picture also showcases that sometimes I'm a little slow trimming your nails. Your poor little nose!
Good thing you can heal! It's pretty amazing when you think about it.
One evening you completely delighted us when you showed us a new trick. When Daddy would lift you up you would keep your legs out straight of course and point your toes. It was a total 'super baby' moment.
Even Daddy has to take pictures when you're giving a good cuddle.
Happy baby in the morning.
We love your hair. It is growing longer right on top almost like a mohawk. That comparison is helped by me sticking it up after a bath so it will dry that way. We're still curious what color it will end up being. Some lights make it look brown, some red, some blond. Some combination?
I wish I could catch a video of this, but you give the happiest biggest smiles right after you sneeze. It is so cute!
Happy sisters! Holland told me, "Mommy I can feel Darcy's foot beat!"
You have started to really love attention and conversely get upset when we set you down and walk away.
Sometimes in the morning you fall asleep while nursing. I need to go pump, eat breakfast, and get going on the day, but I can't resist holding you close for a few minutes.
You have started to roll off of your blanket and play on your tummy to play with toys. You just watch your hands and toys so intently.
Sometimes I get an evening cuddle.
Watching those hands! One fun thing this month was to give you some baths and watch you start kicking and splashing in the bath, and totally startle yourself by the resulting splash of water on you.
In addition to watching your hands and playing with toys, you also like playing with our hands. After nursing you bat at my hands. It makes such a fun clapping, high five, noise. It's such a fun game--you love it.
Evidence of you starting to roll all over. We're not sure how you even did this since it doesn't seem like you really push your self backwards. It is more a mix of rolling and squirming. But somehow you managed to get your legs all the way under the couch. I love your expression in this photo. 'Look what I did Mommy!'
Stop making time pass so quickly little one!
We love love LOVE you! Your gummy, squinty eye smile makes my whole day.
