September marked someone's 29th birthday!!! Yikes I can't believe we are getting that old. Although, considering John still gets comments like, "These girls are yours?! You look like you are a teenager!" I don't think he is very concerned about his age.
Ellie drew her very own stick figure! I was so proud! Unfortunately she has now arrived at my level of artistic ability, so drawing is now eliminated from the preschool curriculum.
On Labor Day we had a fun outing doing a short hike to a waterfall.
Miriam is getting a little big for the front pack, but considering the girl doesn't eat much voluntarily we'll probably get a little more use out of it.
The whole family!
We had a picnic at the park across from the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Ellie discovered the game hide-and-seek. It was funny to see her 'hide' in front of the tree and yell "Come seek me!" Ever since that day, hide-and-seek has become a favorite.
Here is Ellie with her Cinderella castle. She is such a girl. And Miriam--so cute and volatile. We love them.
Ellie read her first word "hat" completely by herself the other day. She frequently reads them with me pointing to the letters, but she was totally independent with this one.
As John is getting closer to graduation. He is spending time trying to get a job. It is so crazy to think about that in a year we could be living on the other side of the country. It makes us both pretty nervous! See...look how nervous Ellie is. :) John went to the career fair in September. He has been
applying for jobs like crazy. We are so curious where we will end up. He has gone
to Delaware, California, and Florida in the last couple months for school and
job hunting. He is going to Illinois this next week for a job interview. Crazy!
